OXYGEN THERAPY Explained

Oxygen Therapy for Neurodiverse Children

What is Oxygen Therapy?

Oxygen Therapy involves breathing concentrated oxygen under mild pressure inside a comfortable chamber. When oxygen is delivered under pressure, it dissolves into the plasma not just the red blood cells, allowing it to reach areas of the body that are typically difficult to access. This deep cellular oxygenation helps repair tissues, reduce inflammation, and enhance brain and body healing.

Why is it so Powerful for Neurodiverse Children?

Children with neurodiversity often experience poor circulation and reduced oxygen and nutrient delivery to the brain. By increasing oxygen levels in the plasma, this therapy allows oxygen to reach the brain more effectively  helping to:

  • Reduce brain inflammation
  • Protect neurons and stimulate neurogenesis (new brain cell growth)
  • Support neuroplasticity, improving the brain’s ability to form new connections

Reported Benefits of Oxygen Therapy

Many parents notice significant improvements in their child’s development and wellbeing, including:

  • Better attention and focus
  • Improved memory and concentration
  • Enhanced speech and receptive language
  • Increased eye contact
  • Progress in fine and gross motor skills
  • Stronger learning and working memory
  • Better social interaction and behaviour regulation
  • Reduced stress and anxiety
  • Improved digestion and gut health

How Long Does It Take?

Each session lasts one hour. Every child is unique, so we create an individualised protocol based on their needs and goals.
Typically, a programme ranges from 10 to 40 sessions, with many families noticing benefits even with once-weekly sessions.
